BLOOM is a multi-channel stop motion animation which shows what appears to be the blooming of crochet flowers in the artist's hand.

Each flower is meticulously unravelled and photographed to create the illusion of creation with ease. The real process is concealed.

Fox often works with themes of making and unmaking to explore the opportunities for blending craft and digital media and challenge what form a modern heirloom might take. Destruction becomes a form of creation and ultimately preservation as the textile takes on a new digital life.
